We believe that education can help bridge gaps in governance.
With our group of mentors, we offer training programs and provide educational resources for our members, Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials, and youth and civic leaders.
ActivateGov is GoodGovPH's flagship capacity-building program designed for young local officials and community leaders. It aims to equip them with the tools, strategies, approaches, and techniques they need in initiating evidence-driven and context-based programs, projects, and policies.
ActivateGov Open Program
The Open Program will be a series of free workshops and seminars that will tackle general topics on good governance, civic engagement, leadership, and advocacy-building. These activities will be open to the public and applications will be gathered through open calls.
ActivateGov Mentorship Program
The Mentorship Program will be composed of intermediate and advanced workshops and seminars on project management, policy development, and community organizing. These activities will only be available to a limited number of young public officials and community-based youth leaders, who will be selected through a rigorous application process and based on a fixed criteria.
Mentees will be asked to submit a profile of their organizations and communities and participate in a short interview prior to their formal admission to the program.
Usap Tayo! is a series of online fora, organized by GoodGov PH, where the youth get to engage in discussions with distinguished speakers on each topic, tackling public issues related to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
GoodGovPH hosted an Usap Tayo! session featuring Prof. Richard Heydarian, a multi-awarded public educator, academic, columnist, and policy adviser.
GoodGovPH hosted a Kwentuhan Session with 2019 Bar Topnotcher Atty. Azores to talk about how she made it to be a people’s lawyer, public servant, and a good governance advocate.
To celebrate its 1st Anniversary, GoodGovPH hosted a webinar with human rights activists Bryan Gonzales and Christian Gultia, Iloilo LGBTQ Affairs Head Gab Umadhay, sociologist Andrew Evangelista, and historian Diego Magallona.
The Governance Education (GovEd) Session was a forum attended by over 50 youth leaders at the University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City. The speakers were Dr. Ma. Victoria Raquiza, POPCOM Commissioner Dex Galban, and GoodGovPH Director for Education & Training Bryan Gonzales.
