Civil society leaders asserted that, regardless of whether their candidates won or not, Filipinos must continue to do their part in society by holding leaders accountable and exploring different ways to push for good governance.

“Ngayon naman, pagkatapos ng halalan, at nasa demokrasya tayo, magbabago na yung gampanin natin. Lahat ng inelect natin, whether sinuportahan natin sila o hindi, responsibilidad natin to hold them accountable,” Dexter Yang, founder and executive director of GoodGovPH said.

GoodGovPH's Simulan Natin 2022, a youth-led and non-partisan campaign aiming to enhance youth political participation, has been recently featured on CNN Philippines.

"Voter engagement is a stepping stone towards active political engagement. Voting is not the end all be all, but it is the start," Simulan Natin 2022 Co-Convenor Fred Cruz said in the interview.

"On May 14th 2021, Global Philanthropic along with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore and the Centre for Strategic Philanthropy at the University of Cambridge hosted Talking Philanthropy 2021.

"In 2020, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Open Government Partnership (OGP) launched an innovation challenge to explore how to leverage digital technology to strengthen the monitoring of COVID-19-related spending and improve feedback and grievance redressal mechanisms. 

At the end of January, the four finalist teams pitched their solutions to a panel of judges. The winning team, GoodGovPH, will receive 10,000 USD or more to pilot their Bantay Bayan Chatbot idea in the Philippines and other interested ADB’s developing member countries."

"Recognizing the discrepancies on existing social welfare programs, Bantay Bayan, a citizen and legal-watch assistance program initiated by GoodGov PH, produced their own chatbot called Bantay that simulates real-time conversation on addressing eligibility concerns and other queries surrounding SAP and social pension.

It was created by a group of young changemakers, namely: Atty. Charles de Belen, Atty. Julia Therese Pineda, Carmela Francesca Adelantar, Shannen Edwin Dilapdilap, Carl Christian Lumberio, Arianne Fabregas, and Alyanna Gopez."

"The Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Seeds for the Future Program is a small grants competition to support innovative initiatives in Southeast Asia. It provides funding for the region’s most promising young leaders to carry out projects that improve their communities, countries, and the region across the program themes of Civic Engagement, Education, Economic Growth, and Sustainable Development."

"The United States (US) Embassy in the Philippines recognized the achievements of Filipino youth organizations that made a positive impact on their communities throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and after the recent natural disasters that have affected the country this year by awarding P400,000 in grants through the YOUnified Awards Night on Dec. 19."

"Charles de Belen, a Master of Science in Innovation and Business student at the Asian Institute of Management, won the Philippine leg of the Entrepreneurs' Organization Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (EO GSEA). De Belen is also active in civil society as he helped establish free legal assistance organization Karapatan and youth-led good governance advocacy group GoodGovPH." 

"At a time when everybody needs hope and inspiration to move forward from various challenges that this year posed on each Filipino, 853 youth groups went beyond their homes towards communities to help sow a promise of something better.
